Partners Hub
Building a home for freelancers and agencies on Base44

Overview & Challenge
Base44 is an AI-powered app builder. Some of its users are partners: freelancers and agencies who build apps for clients. They built on Base44 but ran their client work everywhere else, across email, external tools and scattered workspaces.
My team (PM & Backend dev) and I built Partners Hub to bring that whole workflow into Base44, from the first client message to a delivered app.
My role was to lead the design end to end: from reframing the problem through research with partners, to defining the experience, designing the flows and UI, and working with engineering through delivery. I also contributed to the frontend implementation with Claude Code.
Research & Discovery
The project started with feedback from partners struggling to find and manage client applications across different workspaces. The initial direction focused on improving app visibility and introducing dedicated partner tools. Before defining the solution, I pushed to understand the bigger picture: how do partners actually work with clients, from the first request to a delivered app?
Together with the product team, we reviewed community discussions and feature requests, and interviewed 10+ partners about how they manage client projects.

The opportunity was bigger than improving a dashboard. We needed to connect the entire client workflow.
Pain points
Fragmented client relationships
Solutions
For fragmented relationships → One inbox for client work
I designed a dedicated inbox that connects communication with project management. Partners organize conversations by status, see lead details and link apps directly to client requests, so a project can be followed from the first message to ongoing collaboration.
With the Client Superagent, partners decide how AI handles incoming requests: automatic replies, drafts for review, or manual responses. They can take over any conversation at any time.
For disconnected identity → One professional profile
Instead of introducing another standalone profile, I proposed extending the existing one and connecting it to hiring. Working with engineering, we brought portfolio, services, rates, reviews and direct contact into a single public profile that reuses an existing part of the product.
Outcome
Partners Hub launched, bringing the client workflow into Base44. Early community feedback highlighted partner profiles, app ownership transfer, and a more connected way to work with clients.
After I left Base44, the team continued developing the product and added payments and payouts. Those additions came after my involvement. I’m glad to see the product continue to grow and support more of the business partners run on Base44.
